We’re very pleased to be releasing this Sangiovese Rosé, the first Rose for Mount Trio. We were fortunate to secure a small parcel of Sangiovese grapes from near Bunbury in the Geographe region of WA’s South West. Perfect for a Rose, the fruit had just a few hours skin contact so the juice could pick up a light touch of colour, before fermenting to dryness at cool temperatures. Bottling early has ensured maximum freshness of flavour.
An attractive pale pink with excellent brightness.
Is delicately perfumed with sweet strawberry fruit characters and light floral notes.
This is a light and flavoursome ‘Mediterranean’ style of dry Rose with subtle strawberry fruit flavours and hints of spicy cherry. It has a lovely full mouthfeel with good acidity and a very light touch of tannin providing a pleasing dry finish.
Best to drink as a young wine, we recommend storing in the fridge just until it’s chilled! Perfect on a sunny day, with or without food.
